International Paper’s Pet Food Box Takes Home Prestigious Liderpack Award 2024

We’re proud that our International Paper (IP) team in Spain has recently been honored at the Liderpack Awards, the country’s most prestigious competition for packaging innovation. This time, recognition was given to our IP Pet Food Box, a 100% recyclable alternative to common pet food bags. 

The winners of this edition of the Liderpack Awards were announced by the Spanish Packaging Association (AESPACKAGING), Graphispack Association, and the Hispack trade show of Fira de Barcelona in October. A total of 146 entries competed in the awards.

The IP Pet Food Box is designed both for shipping pet food, as well as for use (and reuse) at home. Its bottom opening allows for easy product refilling and access to the food, enabling pets to eat directly from the box without the need for an extra bowl.

This is not the first time International Paper has been recognized at the Liderpack Awards. The company has received accolades for several innovations in previous years: Fish Box (Best Food Packaging 2022), Separator Bin (Best Household Product Packaging 2022), E-Secure Box (Best Logistics and Distribution Packaging 2022), Millenium Box (Best Logistics and Distribution Packaging 2023), and Twin Pizza Box (Best Food Packaging 2023). Additionally, the E-Secure Box and the Twin Pizza Box were also awarded global WorldStar of Packaging Awards.
